1. Starting a profitable blog
Starting a profitable blog is a free course created by Carly Campbell. She offers 15 lessons where you can learn all her top tips about creating a plan to make money from your blog. This course really helped me when I was brand new to blogging and I didn’t know where to start.
This is one of my top Free Courses for bloggers starting a blog as it is what I used first when starting mine.
She has a range of free/paid courses you can also look at:
Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers – $79 Pinteresting Strategies – $57 Pinteresting Strategies and Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers (two-course bundle with bonus blogging planner) – $95 Engaging Your Audience – $47 (Prices as of 9th July 2020) |
2. Traffic and Monetisation 5-day mini-challenge
This free blog course is produced by Lena Gott. I have accessed 3 of her Free courses and I have learnt so much. This course is all about how to increase traffic to your site. You can do it the course all at once or split the reading over the 5 days. Therefore, when you sign up for the course, you will be able to access it whenever you like even past the 5 days.
She runs a tremendously successful blog and therefore she knows what the building blocks are. At the end of each of the 5 days reading, she offers you a little piece of homework that you can get on with which is a step further to running a successful blog. I really liked this aspect because it felt like you were already improving your blog.
She covers a lot of content, starting with how to monetise your blog, how you should be evaluating old blog posts, and a little bit of keyword help. She goes further into the topic of the keywords and more in her other FREE course that I’m about to talk about.

3. Adventures in SEO: Free Trial
This is one of the most informative FREE Blogging courses for beginners from Lena Gott!
I learnt things about Pinterest I didn’t know at all. This course is all about Google SEO which I found extremely hard to get my head around. This free course is a little snippet of her paid course so you are getting content that people pay for!
She offers some reading and then provides you with a 1-hour 20-minute video explaining how she got onto page 1 of google. Lena’s Google SEO traffic is higher than her Pinterest traffic, so it just shows she knows what she’s talking about.
She explains her top tips on how you can rank on google and explains how to use your keywords. It can also work with redoing old pages to try and get them to rank. Google isn’t stupid, so she tells you how Google works to put the best web pages on page 1.

4. Free SEO course
This SEO course is run by Her PaperRoute Academy. She uses videos and reading sections to help you can learn how you can optimise your posts for SEO.
The course goes over a number of things including Keyword research, how to let Google know your website exists, SEO audits of your own site and how to make your blog super fast.
The main thing this course helps you understand is how to rank on google even as a new blogger.
5. Keyword master course
This is a 14 day email course. They offer a BONUS custom keyword segmentation and grouping tool if you just forward the email to a friend. This is an excel spreadsheet with a video letting you know how to use it.
The course starts with an intro to keyword research to talk about your competition, and then how to use keywords for blog posts.
6. Pin Practical Funnelling
This is probably my favourite of my FREE Blogging courses for beginners!
To start with, Pin Practical Funnelling is produced by Redefining Mom. It is one of the best Pinterest courses I’ve used so far. Again it is a 5-day course including reading and hour-long videos. This course offers so much information all for FREE!
I would recommend doing this course a day at a time because it is a lot of information to take in.
What the course includes:
Day 1 includes how to set up rich pins. It is written as a PDF with links to videos for help. You are also provided with a spreadsheet to help you with keywords. I recommend using this sheet as it has helped me so far. There is a video on how to use the keyword spreadsheet.
Day 2 goes through Pinterest images this is a 45-minute video where you are shown what images Pinterest likes best.
Day 3 was interesting for me because I have yet to think about creating a freebie. You are provided with a 1-hour video on how to create a freebie and put it out for your subscribers on email.
Day 4 is a part two carrying on from day 3. You go through how to collect email addresses and how to promotes your printable. You’re also offered a link on how to set up your email provider. You cover landing pages, email service providers and pinnable images for your freebie.
Day 5 THE LAST DAY! You cover the types of sales funnels for Pinterest and how you can create these for your freebie.
7. The Blog Plan
This course is produced by Suzi from Start a Mom B. I have to say I definitely benefited from this course despite already having a blog.
She offers help on finding the perfect niche, how to make money with your blog (with examples) and FREE printables.
These PDFs are massively helpful as they set out a 12-month plan on how to grow your blog to $9000+. She shows you what sort of posts you should be putting up each month. It comes with a month by month schedule where you can write down your goals, your post ideas for the month and your outcomes of the month.
This is a great way to track everything and I have been using this printable for the past month now and it has kept me much more organised.
8. BONUS: Paid blog courses

This is a great list of resources, thank you for sharing! I really need to take a course on Pinterest, I just don’t have the patience for it because I don’t see the results immediately. It’s super weird because SEO is the same, the results don’t show overnight, but with that I’ve had all the patience in the world and it works really well now 🙂
