So I was recently able to get my hands on the Facetheory Regena c20 Serum to give it a try. I have tried many different Vitamin C products before so I was interested to find out what this one was like.
I have been using this product for about two months now and I will go into detail about the good and the bad. It is important to get an overall opinion of other peoples reviews of a product before you dive right in and waste your money so I wanted to share with you an honest review.

What are Facetheory about?
Facetheory products are vegan, paraben-free, no silicones, polyethylene glycols (PEGS) or mineral oils. Their products are made in the UK. They are also free from animal testing.
Facetheory offer a massive range of skincare products over a range of prices so you are sure to be able to find something affordable. I love the simple packaging and the overall look of the products. I have tried a few of their products before so I did have high hopes for the serum.
About the Regena c20 Serum

- 20% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
- olive oil polyglyceryl-4 ester
- ferulic acid (antioxidant)
- dibutyl lauroyl glutamide (amino acid and gelling agent)
- dibutyl ethylhexanoyl glutamide (amino acid and gelling agent).
So I don’t know about you but that list right there doesn’t mean a lot to me. So I thought I would explain a little what the ingredient means:
Vitamin C is meant to fights acne bacteria, brightens skin, reduces pigmentation and evens skin tone. The Ethyl Ascorbic Acid can be more easily absorbed by the skin.
How did you find the Regena c20 Serum in terms of ease of use?
The directions Facetheory give are: Shake gently before use. Apply a few drops to clean, damp skin, concentrating on blemishes, fine lines, dark spots and areas of hyperpigmentation. I did find the product very easy to apply although it did feel kind of sticky at first. I decided to not give up and keep trying it.
How did the product feel on the skin?
At first the product felt like it wasn’t being absorbed by my skin. I would say 3 drops is enough to cover you whole face. I had to learn this the hard way! If you use too much it just doesn’t go into your skin enough.
It also felt a little sticky at first but once I started using less this became less of a problem.
Were you satisfied with the results?
In the end, I was satisfied with the results. I was satisfied with the results. However, the serum has an awful smell to it that I am assuming most people would hate. The smell doesn’t go away straight away either which is a bit of a shame.
I didn’t get any break outs and it did not negatively effect my skin so I was very happy with this.
Was this the first time you had used Facetheory?
I have used multiple Facetheory products before including the primer and a moisturiser. The moisturiser is one of my favourites and I use it almost everyday so I knew I would have to try some more products.
Would you recommend Facetheory to a friend?
I would 100% recommend Facetheory to a friend as a whole. I feel like the serum may depend on peoples skin type so you would have to bare this in mind.
Facetheory recommends the product works for most skin types, including sensitive skin. It can balance sebum production of oily skin.

Final thoughts
I feel like the product did do what it claimed to do. My skin felt brighter which I was happy with. I would recommend using less product than what you think you initially need.
I have almost come to the end of my bottle within the two months I have been using it. Would I buy this product again? Yes, I would, despite the price being a little high for me the product did what I wished for.

I really dont mind the smell as long as there are no harsh or bad ingredients in it. People with allergies and sensitive skin will take a strange smell over an allergic reaction or red, bumpy face any day.
Great review. I do love a serum and particularly a Vitamin C serum. It’s a shame this one doesn’t have a very nice smell though because with vit c serums, you’d expect them to smell nice!
