Now finding love might be the last thing on your mind during lockdown. But it also might be something super fun that you can get involved in if you have some spare hours in lockdown.
It may be a little different to what you are used to but it is worth a try! If you are simply looking to date, or if you are in lockdown in a different place to your partner then I have included some great lockdown date ideas.

Socially distanced dating ideas
Since we are in lockdoown, we have to have ocially distanced dates. This entilly deends on oyur coutnries currently lockdown rules so make sure you check these out and foolow them correctly!
Currently in the UK we are allowed to meet one other person from a different household whilst still being 2 metres apart.
Picnics/ park walks
A great first date is a little picnic. You don’t have to spend lots of money going to posh restaurants and you can just keep it really chill. It is really easy to keep 2 metres apart and you can both bring your own food to eat. This way you can get to know each other better.
Although at this time of year a picnic may not be ideal in the cold weather so another option is to take a walk instead. A simple and easy date where you can get to know each other.
Sports
So sport can be a great idea when on a first date. If it is something you are interested in then sport can be a great ice breaker. For example, you can play a game of tennis and get a bit competitive.
Tips for Online dating
Online dating can be a new thing for all of us so it is time to learn some tips and tricks.
Dating Locally
Online dating can be a scary thing and in lockdown there may seem like there’s not much point. But if you use local dating sites then you may be able to find someone near who might be exactly your type!
For all of those Kent singles, there is an ideal place where you will be able to find local love. Take a look at Kent Dating site and give it a whirl!
Facetime dates
This is your time to get creative! With facetime dates, you can take control and make them go in whatever direction you like. If you wanted something a bit more chill then you can both order a takeaway and have a nice easy chat over your food.
If you wanted something a bit more entertaining then you can create some quizzes for each other or test each other on some general knowledge. Another great game to play is ‘what if?’ this will help you get to know each other better.
Still put the effort it
Even though you won’t be seeing each other in person it is nice to put a bit of effort in to show that you want to try and make something of it. Maybe wear something that isn’t your pjs (unless you are having a cosy night in)
Be honest
With dating online it is easy to just stop speaking to someone or end the FaceTime call early. But the best thing to do is be honest about it and let them know how you feel.
If you don’t think they’re right for you then tell them.
You don’t want to leave them with a bad online dating experience!
