Hi everyone! Today I wanted to talk about something that is more relevant than ever. Micro-influencers are being used more and more each day to help brands reach their goals and get exposure. The idea is that smaller influencers have a following that is usually more interactive and therefore more beneficial to a brand.
I wanted to talk about my top tips on how brands can work with UK beauty bloggers. Along with the types of services and collabs you can do together. My tips offer an insight on how to get the best out of collabs with bloggers. I wanted to include a special section about how the Get Blogged Marketplace can help brands achieve their goals faster with a bit on my experiences with Get Blogged.
At the end I have shared my top 5 beauty bloggers in case you wanted to reach out to them about collabs!

Types of collabs you can do together
Many blgogers have accounts on a range of soical media so there are muliple chances for brands to partner with them across all socails.
Instagram Collabs
There are multiple opportunities you choose to explore through Instagram. Of course, there is the typical grid post and story. But more recently, Instagram has bought out reels. Reels offer creators a chance to create a 15 – 30 second small video that can include talking, actions or anything you like. This is a great way to show a review of a product, etc. Instagram also offer IGTVs which have been around for a while which is where creators can create longer videos.
I would remeber that since reels are slightly newer, they are being pushed more than Instagrams other features.
Blog Collabs
Instagramseems like one of the main ways that brands work with bloggers. However, they are unaware of the massive advantages that a blog post can bring.
Instagram and other social media content usually gets pushed out when it’s gets posted, but then a month later it gets pushed down the feed. On the other hand, blog posts can get a lot more attention. In fact, they can even rank on google and get monthly views. I know bloggers that get a range of 50,000 to 1 million + views a year which will bring so much attention to your brand if you have a blog post on their home page.
You can also build up backlinks to your businesses website.
With blogs, you can either create pre written content for the blogger or you can create a brief that they can stick to so that the content is written in their style of writing that their audience are familiar with.
Tiktok Collabs
Tiktok has been all the range recently. Many content creators have risen to fame overnight. Tiktok is great because there are so many ‘ordinary’ people with a big following because people like how genuine and relatable they are.
Tiktok favours trending songs, so a great content idea is to incorporate the brand name or brand products into these trends.
Content creation
Content creation is where a blogger creates content that is purely for the brand to use and the blogger does not have to post it anywhere.
How to get the best out of collabs with bloggers
There are certain ways to go about reaching out to bloggers. If you wany yo create a long-lasting relationship and a good outcome for the collab then simply follow these rules:
Be polite
Address the blogger by their name if you want to work with them!
Be respectful
The most disrespectful thing to say to bloggers is to offer them a budget of £/$10. It is quite insulting. Bloggers take time and effort to create quality content, so being offered a price so lower shows that the brand doesn’t really value the blogger’s content.
Work together
Sometimes asking the blogger what they would like to create for the campaign means the bloggers can get more control over the content they are creating and you may love their ideas.
A positive relationship can be beneficial if you want to work with them again in the future.
Get Blogged Marketplace
The get Blogged marketplace can help brands achieve their goals faster. There are plenty of opportunities for brands to reach bloggers. The best advice is to be polite when collaborating! I’ve had so many bloggers reach out via email, who don’t even use my name in emails expecting to guest post on my blog. Literally no mention of forming a connection, just “can you don this for me”. Just simple friendliness can go a long way.

I admit I have not done any beauty collaborations as I am not as much of a makeup lover as true makeup lovers, but I have done a couple collaborations more in my niche and my top tip is to be absolutely sure of what the brand wants. Communication is key. 🙂
