Blog Courses
Investing in blog courses has been the best thing I have done to get my blog off the ground. At first, I was hesitant like any new blogger, about spending money on my blog not knowing if I was going to make a return on my investment. I was going through every free course i could find and not really getting anywhere.
So, I do have to say, that if you are looking to monetise your blog, you will have to put something into it. People don’t give away information for free that’s how they make their money. So by investing in myself I was able to learn all the blogging secrets and I now understand what I need to do with my blog and I am working on it!
I can tell you know, investing in yourself is so worth it in the long run!
The Bloggers Survival Guide
The Bloggers Survival Guide is written by Nicola from Nic’s Healthy Life. Nicola has been blogging for over 12 years so as you can imagine, she knows what she is talking about. Here eBook covers a tonne of content including:
- creating the right mindset
- creating killer content
- getting your blog noticed
- monetising your blog
- things no one tells you about blogging
- getting your blogging mojo back after a slump
Pinteresting Strategies
Pinteresting Strategies is one of the most amazing courses I have taken. There is so much information to take in but that’s what you are paying for. You get to learn how Carly managed to achieve 200k views to her blog from Pinterest in just one month!
She teaches you how to pin without having to pay for Tailwind which was a complete bonus for me.
Pinterest Perfect ebook
Pinterest Perfect ebook is written by the lovely Mariam from Boss Babe Chronicles. She offers a 50+ page guide to learn how to optimise Pinterest so you can get clicks to your website. She teaches you how to make your pins clickable. Mariam is now on over 3m monthly views on Pinterest so she is doing an amazing job and you can learn how.
Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers
Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers is a course I have recently invested in. It was created by Carly from Mommy on Purpose. If you want to learn how to make money from your blog then this is the course for you. I have learnt so much about affiliate marketing that I didn’t even think was possible.
Starting a profitable blog
Starting a profitable blog is a free course also created by Carly. She offers 15 lessons where you can learn all her top tips about creating a plan to make money from your blog. This course really helped me when I was brand new to blogging.
Photo editor/ Stock Photos
Canva
I honestly do not know what I would be doing without Canva. I use the paid version so I have access to all the paid stock photos which is what I know use for my blog and for my Pinterest images.
Unsplash
Unsplash is where you can get stock photos for free. Make sure you do reference who the photographer is if you are using free photos as it is respectful to give credit.
Lightroom
I use the Lightroom app on my phone to edit my Instagram and Blog photos before I upload them. I have created a preset so that all my photos look the same and I sort of have a theme for my Instagram.
Lightroom is free on the app store but on a computer you have to pay for a subscription ( I believe it is £9.98 a month).
Email list builder
Flodesk
I COULDN’T RAVE MORE ABOUT FLODESK! They have everything you could need. Including popups, inline forms and landing pages. Even more special than that is their style of emails. Their designs are the most beautiful thing!
The good thinga bout Flodesk is no matter how many subscrivers you have, the cost is exactly the same! Therefore, if you have 10,000 subs you are still paying the flat rate. Compared to ConvertKit where you have to pay more money the more subs you have.

ConvertKit
So with ConvertKit you can get 500 subscribers whilst you are still on the free version.
I have tried Mailchimp before and I just never really got anywhere with it. With ConvertKit, the landing page designs are beautiful. The forms and newsletters are so easy to create.
If you use this link you can get onto the free plan which is what I am currently on.
WordPress Themes
17th Avenue
So I am currently using the Charlotte Theme from 17th Avenue. They offer you lots of help when setting it up and the service is excellent. I was able to get it all going by myself.
Restored 316
I have previously used one of Restored 316‘s themes. They offer gorgeous feminine WordPress themes.
Creative Market
Creative Market is a great site to find WordPress themes. They also offer so much more.
Web hosts
Hostinger
I am currently using Hostinger as my Web Host. I have no problems so far and they were so cheap! I paid 99p per month for 3 years. They offer 4 plans all ranging in price all of which are totally affordable.
